Free Newsletters…Worth Your While? |

It seems like every website has their own newsletter these days and for good reason – newsletters help websites form a relationship with their customers and show that they know about their product or service; newsletters also help websites get ranked with the major search engines so that they are more easily found and get more hits. And newsletters provide for continuous communication with past visitors that might otherwise have forgotten about a site even though they were happy with the company. These are all great reasons for websites and businesses to publish and email newsletters, but are there good reasons for you as a consumer to subscribe to freebies with newsletters? Is there any value and worth to be had for you? The answer is yes – but you have to determine which newsletters have value to you. Not all newsletters are useful to everyone. If you are the one picking and choosing which newsletters are sent to you as freebies, subscribe to something you have an interest in. For instance – a gardening newsletter if you are gardener, a parenting newsletter if you are a Mom or a Dad, and so on. Newsletters on subject you want to learn more about are excellent information resources that you don′t even have to work to find. All you do is enter your email address and wait for newsletter freebies to come. The great thing is that if you are into a hobby or interest that is somewhat obscure, or one that is very specific, you can subscribe to a freebie newsletter that brings you lots of new information, tips, and tricks on just the subject you need. If you were to look for this information on your own or to subscribe to a paid magazine subscription, it could take hours to find and cost you lots of money over the course of your subscribed life (note, however, that a lot of freebies newsletter information isn′t even available in mainstream media resources). But newsletters are totally free, emailed to your inbox. And if the information turns out to be useless, you′ve lost nothing. You can always hit ′unsubscribe′. Another reason that newsletter freebies are great is that they bring you more incentives, discounts, freebies, and free offers. Companies that put the effort into a newsletter are doing so to get you to remain customers and come back again and again. And they′re willing to give you good reasons to do that. All things considered, freebies newsletters are very valuable resources, but only if the company offering the free newsletter or the subject matter has interest to you. There are many instances, however, where you will be required to subscribe to a website′s newsletter just to get the freebies they are offering. That′s where your free email server comes in – just give your secondary email account and cancel after you get what you came for. That is, of course, unless that newsletter turns out to be one of those useful tidbits you want to keep reading. |
